For the needy who look for help in KIND during a pandemic or calamity or an unprecedented situation. Their request is flashed across social media so that it can reach many Philanthropists and Good doers. Verified information is passed on with a Tracking ID.
Sare Jahan Se Acha Foundation, a Sec 8 Not For Profit Company based in Pune, India started this initiative. Their experience shows there are several fake and unverified requests that are floating around, this system is a potential solution for people to raise a request.
We do not interact with either the Requestor or the Donor. We consider the information provided by the Requestor as bonafide and authentic. We proceed only if the form is filled in full and then term the request as 'verified'.
It is a set of alpha-numeric characters assigned randomly for a particular request. It helps any visitor to the website, potential givers and also the requestor to know about the current status of the request.
The Request Form asks for relevant details which will be formatted and placed into a poster on Social Media. This helps the donor/giver to understand the category of the requirement and also to reach out to the requestor directly.
Yes, it is important. Once you submit your mobile number, you will receive an OTP. This helps in confirming that the number provided by the requestor is genuine. This is a step for verification.
On approval of the request form by the Admin team, a poster is generated which is pushed into the Devdoot.info Facebook Public Group and Telegram Channel. From these social media handles the requestor may share directly or download and forward with his/her personal connections or any other choice of social media handles. Propagation of Devdoot.info will be on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Telegram channel.
A request is verified via the Requestor’s mobile number. We send an OTP to the phone. Only after submission of the OTP alongwith the request form it will be reviewed by the Admin team. A Tracking ID is assigned by the system once you submit post which the Admin team reviews the request and if found appropriate, approves it.
While it is difficult to predict, our earnest attempt will be to push the request on Social Media. But we plan to keep the request in OPEN status for 10 days. It also depends on the requestor’s efforts to push the request through his contacts.
Yes, you can see the request. You will be notified via SMS about the request after assigning a Tracking ID. You can check your request on the devdoot.info by using this Tracking ID.
No. Only the Requestor or the Admin team can close a request. System also closes a request if it is lying in OPEN request for more than 10 days.
When any request is displayed on the website, there will be a small button to close a request. Select the button to close and you will be sent an OTP on the mobile number you had originated the request.
Yes, it is possible to reopen a request closed earlier. Again, the same mobile number which originated the request will get an OTP and it can be reopened.
